Erwin was in Taiji documenting the dolphin massacre in an effort to bring awareness to this horrific slaughter, when he was arrested on Debember 16th under the accusation of pushing one of the dolphin resort employees. For this alleged minor offense, he was held for 63 days under very poor conditions. He was pleaded not-guilty and finally got released on February 16th. He arrived back in The Netherlands this weekend.
Erwin said he was was glad his ordeal had not been in vain. His experience had focused worldwide attention on the ongoing atrocities committed against the dolphins of Taiji; indeed, that is why he became a Cove Guardian in the first place.
Welcome back, Erwin. Blessings from Hemp HoodLamb!
