Check out this beautiful Hemp Rug from the Campana Brothers. It got featured in the New York Times today as it got sold for the stunning price of $35,575! The Circus Rug was introduced at last year's Milan furniture fair in a limited edition of 10 signed and numbered pieces. The piece is part of the Nodus Collection; a cultural and design enterprise that has teamed famous designers with artisans around the world. Knitted in Nepal, it measures six-and-a-half feet in diameter and is covered with tons of little Brazilian dolls.
The brothers Fernando (1961) and Humberto Campana (1953) are two of the most famous South American designers. Since 1983, Fernando, who graduated in architecture, and Humberto, who studied law, have worked together in the field of design, or better between art and design. In their joint studio, a sort of converted garage, in São Paulo, Brazil, they develop furniture which are often based on everyday, ready-made materials - waste products as well as industrial goods.

Check out the first set of photos from the HoodLamb Fashion Show at A Night For The Oceans, a fundraiser for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society which took place on Sunday September 12th, 2010 in the ID&T building in Amsterdam.
The night was a great success and featured a speech from Captain Paul Watson and the launch of "Artists for Sea Shepherd" who got introduced by famous Dutch actor Rutger Hauer. Among the performer musicians were members of The Golden Earring and Charlie Dee. Achilleas and Ottograph created some beautiful paintings for Sea Shepherd.
"A Night for the Oceans" started off with a bang with the HoodLamb fashion show, introducing the brand new Hemp HoodLamb X Sea Shepherd Winter 10-11 clothing line which will be available in stores worldwide and online in a few weeks (we will of course let you know via our Facebook and blog!). For every purchase of a Hemp HoodLamb X Sea Shepherd garment a donation is made to Sea Shepherd. The amount donated is clearly listed on the hangtag.

We received 5 different prints which are now available at our store! Each print is a unique piece of art handmade by the artist himself in a studio in Athens. We leave it up to you if you like to wear it or decide to put it up on the wall...

The very talented Greek illustrator and Hemp Works friend, Achilleas Giannissis, has transformed the Hemp Works window into a playful display of art! In town for a few days, Achilleas took some time to revamp the store window, trademarking it with his distinctive swirls. It turned out beautiful and we're super proud to have this great piece of art on exhibit at our Hemp Works store!
