Behind the scenes: HoodLamb Fashion Show!

We've got the first footage of the special HoodLamb Artist Jacket Fashion Show! Check out this very cool "behind the scenes" video made by Leroy Joy. The fashion show took place at our Sweet Sixteen party and featured the latest HoodLamb Artist Collaborations. It was a great night and we'd like to thank everyone involved, from the hair-stylists to the last minute models: you guys rock!

    

HoodLambs' Artist Collabs

Many of the world’s great painters like Van Gogh and Rembrandt used hemp canvas (hence the word ‘cannabis’) to work on. They started with a blank canvas and went on to create masterpieces. We wanted to join eco clothing with fashion and art and invited different artists that surround and inspire us to treat a Hemp Hoodlamb® as their blank canvas. Coming from different places and backgrounds (traditional art, graffiti, graphic design, illustration and tattoo), these collaborations resulted in an amazing line of artist jackets and limited edition t-shirt and hoody prints.

Jay wins Volcom Crusty Tour El Porto event!

This Saturday HoodLamb teamrider Jay Christenson won the Seaslug division of the Volcom Crusty Tour at El Porto in Manhattan Beach, beating 48 other competitors in his division.... and locking up a spot in the National Finals for the series with a 1st & a 3rd winning the division.

Sunday took Jay to Oceanside for the 4th event of the WSA series. Jay surfed out of his mind from the first horn where he dropped a 7.5 on his first wave and backed it up with a 10! Jay finished 2nd in the 14 and under division, and killed it in the higher division as well, taking a 3rd in the 16 and under division.

EVIDENCE of Hemp

AMSTERDAM – Underground LA hip-hopper EVIDENCE (from the Dilated Peoples) was recently on the road through Europe to promote his latest solo release, The Layover EP (2008). HoodLamb had the honor to dress him for his performance at club BitterZoet in Amsterdam. Check out EVIDENCE in the ‘Trust’ t-shirt, and special guest FASHAWN in the “Bearded’ Tee. Top that off with a ‘MAC’ cap and you’ll be amazed how fly hemp can be!

Video Release Kyteman

Check out this great video of HoodLamb Friends Kyteman & GMB. It's the first video release of Kyteman (Colin Benders), a 22 year old trompetist/composer who just launched his album 'The Hermit Sessions'. A refreshing approach to hip hop: optimistic, soulful and pushing the boundaries of jazzy, lyrical hip-hop.

Kyteman is currently touring with a wild bunch of rappers, strings, brass players and percussionists (aka his Hip Hop Orchestra). A great show bursting of musicality you don't want to miss.
