Something to look forward to...

Although Summer doesn't officially end until September 21st, we're slowly saying goodbye to our flip flops and preparing for a new Fall. At the HoodLamb showroom it still feels like Summer though as we're surrounded by Summer items of the HoodLamb Summer 2010 collection (on view for distributors and retailers). We had a very successful photo shoot for next years campaign and didn't want to leave you out on a sneak preview!

Check out some photos of our models Leonardo Neves Batista and Layssa Liebscher in the Summer 2010 HoodLamb Collection. The new designs are all made from our hemp/organic cotton blend and come in very summery colors and styles. Keep the Summer spirit alive!

Brazilian Street Art

AMSTERDAM – Zillion and Scorp from Wallbangaz have returned from their music venture in Brazil (see post from 28^th of May HERE – country of vibrant culture... right!!

The boys blessed us with some souvenirs in the form of two HoodLamb art jackets by Brazilian street artists BrunoBig and Ment.  Big reason to take them out on a shoot... Wanna see the artwork on the back? Go HERE. 

Deserted babes in HoodLamb...

Talith and Vera, two surfer babes on a mission; to drive 6000 kilometers through eastern Europe, Turkey, Syria and eventually end up and take a dip in the Red Sea in Jordan …for charity. This is the synopsis for one of the teams at the Red Sea Challenge 2009 - a HoodLamb powered adventure.

Red Sea Challenge is a charity race. Talith and Vera could handpick two special projects to travel in the name of charity for, and they selected: Kika and Sea Shepherd. Kika is an organization that supports the development of Cancer research for children. Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization that uses innovative direct-action tactics in their mission to fight ocean law violations (see post about the Sea Shepherd and WHALE WARS from 17^th of June).

Vera explains, “because of the crisis we didn't had the amount of money we thought we could give, but it was still 5500 euro “. Crisis or not, give what you think you can spare…At HoodLamb we did our part and powered the babes with survival gear for the chilly desert nights…

No Sweat at the beach

Athens to Amsterdam - Greek Illustrator Achilleas Giannissis has brought summer vibes to the Hemp Works with his amazing HoodLamb art jacket. Like sweet sprinkleables on top of a cupcake Achilleas decided to pimp another two pairs of No Sweat sneakers to go with his ArtHoodLamb. The sneakers jetted to Athens, did a photo shoot at the beach, and flew back to Amsterdam and Hemp Works again. His pieces are now on display at the hemp-quarters…

FACEBOOK Photo Race!!!

A while ago, we did an announcement on our Facebook page and asked you to upload your most exceptional HoodLamb pic. We found our winner along with the motivation: “…The photo illustrates yet another way to be ‘high in comfort'. If you are an owner of a HoodLamb Winter coat, then you know how fine it works as a cuddly blanket/cushion on long flights.” 

The snap shot photographer is Douglas Finnan from Indiana, United States! A t-shirt high in comfort is in the air on its way to you!… Hereby, Douglas own description of the photo: “…The photo was taken while flying over the western United States 2 years ago. I was doing consulting for a non-profit at the time. When traveling it’s nice to be comfortable and "man's best friend in the winter" can make that possible. I was lounging on the plane using my brown Classic as a cushion and when I looked out the window the ground looked kinda like the Cannaflage print, so i snapped a shot.” 

Douglas is a true fan of hemp and on the question why he likes HoodLamb he says:“…I like HoodLamb gear on so many different levels. First off, it is a great product. I have had four Classics, one Tech 4/20, several t's, and hoodies. HoodLamb gear can also be a great conversation starter. For example, the Classic is the only jacket I have ever owned that strangers have asked me to try on. It’s all around my favorite brand of clothing… a well-made product. With most hemp clothes over here (America), the coolest thing about them is what they are made of...

Thanks for those words Douglas! Surprisingly, he adds that he is planning to launch a new HEMP website. Launch is planned on June 6^th @ classichemp.com. A place where you will be able to discuss hemp, eco-fashion, sustainability, art, music, and culture. Sounds great. We’ll keep our eyes on that.
