Jay wins Volcom Crusty Tour El Porto event!

This Saturday HoodLamb teamrider Jay Christenson won the Seaslug division of the Volcom Crusty Tour at El Porto in Manhattan Beach, beating 48 other competitors in his division.... and locking up a spot in the National Finals for the series with a 1st & a 3rd winning the division.

Sunday took Jay to Oceanside for the 4th event of the WSA series. Jay surfed out of his mind from the first horn where he dropped a 7.5 on his first wave and backed it up with a 10! Jay finished 2nd in the 14 and under division, and killed it in the higher division as well, taking a 3rd in the 16 and under division.

Jay takes 3rd place in Short Board division

The first event of the WSA (Western Surfing Association) took place this Sunday. HoodLamb Team Rider Jay will be competing in this series as this is the "feeder system" to the SIMA Surfing America USA Championships, and one of Jays goals would be to surf at the World Juniors... and maybe even the Olympics...

The contest was held at Trails #1 at San Onofre just south of Trestles, in some decent 2-4' surf. The day started glassy and it never really blew hard. The tide played the most into each heats different conditions, not the easiest waves to catch.  Jay surfed a lot of heats. He competed in both short & long board divisions. His wave selection, abilities and some sweet tricks were able to send him to both finals and net him a solid 5th in Long board, and a 3RD Place finish in the U14 Short Board Division.

SALT CREEK - This Friday is kick-off for the surf Nationals at Salt Creek, California. HoodLambs #1 grom schredder, the HoodKid, will be surfing against top ranked grom's from all over the US & islands. Join him if you have time in the AM that day…
